Cherokee Social w/ Soleil live at The Den

The lead singer Julian Navarro started out on drums as early as 3 years old and quickly graduated to bass, vocals, guitar, and pro tools as he grew up in the Baltimore music scene. Almost being signed 3 separate times throughout his career he finally started taking off when he moved to Denver and rebranded his project from Faceless Ones to Cherokee Social. Shortly after this rebrand he picked up guitarist Alex Creighton who brought energetic guitar solos and added staged energy to the band. After a few months of playing together they sold out their first headlining show in Denver in January 2024. This trend continued as they started playing with acts like Macy Gray and Fitz and the Tantrums. In summer 2025 they embarked on a 6 week west coast tour where they explored the most beautiful places in California and Washington, making content, making fans, and eventually using the experience to inspire their first EP “The Garden”. A collection of reverb heavy, meaning packed, hard hitting indie bangers. The months following this release have been spent preparing to release a handful of EPs and singles throughout 2026. Join us for a walking food tour as we talk about the history of Sioux Falls and meander through some of the best places to eat and drink! Learn about events like the first hanging in the eastern Dakota Territory. Hear about the progress that is bursting forth in downtown Sioux Falls. We will visit 4-5 establishments to sample extraordinary foods and an alcoholic beverage (non-alcoholic available) on us at our first stop. But fear not, you will have an opportunity to purchase additional beverages along the way. We will experience a variety of tastes that will tantalize your taste buds and fill your tummies. Center for Disabilities Run, Walk and Roll Event
USD Center for Disabilities is excited for our Run Walk & Roll event to return for its 5th year on Saturday, September 12th, 2026! Run Walk & Roll is an inclusive event open to people of all ages and abilities. Our goal is to promote health and wellness for all people in South Dakota, and to have fun while doing it! Events include a timed 5k and a 1-mile FREE fun run, walk & roll. There will be yoga in the park, a mascot race, a food truck, and more! You won’t want to miss this event! Our 2026 event will spotlight the critical role early childhood development plays in shaping lifelong health, learning, and well-being. By bringing together families, professionals, and community members, this inclusive event raises awareness that every child develops differently and emphasizes the importance of early identification, intervention, and support for developmental needs. Schedule of Events for September 12, 2026: 8:00a – race day packet pick-up and yoga/stretching session 9:00a – 5k race start 9:45a – yoga/stretching session 10:00a – mascot race to kick off the 1-mile fun run, walk & roll start 12:00p – Event end *Discount available when you purchase 3+ race entries at a time. **Children age 12 and younger only $25 ***Shirt included with 5k and virtual participant registration. Craig was an advocate for downtown growth and development and an even bigger advocate and champion for the conservation of the Big Sioux River. Let's do our part to keep the river clean in honor of Craig! Join us Saturday, September 20, from 10:00 AM to noon as we clean up the banks of the Big Sioux River in Downtown Sioux Falls. The clean-up will take place on both sides of the River from Falls Park to Fawick Park. Meet in the CNH parking lot at the Arc of Dreams. Please arrive early, as we'll be handing out trash bags, gloves, and reflective vests. Volunteers will also need to sign a release/waiver form.
